We continue to build our team and are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to add to our growing team. This individual will work under mentorship and with support of senior engineers to establish the requirements for subcontracted work success and provide engineering and problem-solving support for the current portfolio of subcontracted parts and subassemblies. The Supplier Quality Engineer will ultimately be responsible for ensuring sub-contracted work meets customer expectations.
***Essential Duties
Develop an understanding of customer requirements and industry knowledge to become a subject matter expert in your area of expertise
Support the Commercial Team with detailed proposal review and approval on behalf of Supplier Quality Engineering
Validate supplier production processes meet customer quality requirements and delivery expectations and document accordingly
Develop Methods, Workflows, and/or Work Instructions for supplier qualifications and supplier processes
Support or guide problem solving efforts and bring Lessons Learned back to Supplier Quality Engineering for prioritization and implementation
Drive continuous improvement against labor, materials, cost, quality and OTD metrics across supplier network
Ensure supplier processes are compliant with P1 and governmental standards
Perform first article and incoming inspection and verification of components to requirements
***Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or similar Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven attention to detail and focus in an active environment with the ability to proactively complete tasks while working independently
Demonstrated success implementing or improving supplier approval processes
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proven history applying lean manufacturing principles
Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and successful corrective and preventative action implementation
Demonstrated ability to coach the supply chain team
Demonstrated experience to support process validation
Experience in production operations, safety, quality and security protocols
Proven history working within a Quality Management System
Experience working in an organization in a lean, or other transformation
You should be proficient in:

Salary info:
$31.25 - $40.87 / hr
