Job purpose:

• Work with suppliers to improve the quality of prototype parts used for HDMA-ADC prototype builds. Use root cause analysis to minimize the impact of supplier quality problems and approve the implementation of temporary and permanent countermeasures to improve the quality of the prototype parts provided. Interface with 4MOC for necessary quality improvements to North America supplied parts to Japan for 4MOC development builds.

Key Accountabilities: 

Supplier Quality Activities

• Communicate with suppliers and approve corrective actions and countermeasures for defective parts.
• Conduct Quality Assurance Visits and audits of prototype part suppliers.
• Analyze supplier’s processes to ensure that they can meet quality requirements for prototype parts.
• Contribute to revisions for the Supplier Quality Assurance Manual

Team Lead Role:

• Lead contingent / PSC inspection associates in inspection activities related to 4MOC parts.
• Oversee training of new associates, contingents, and PSC staff on applicable SAP modules.
• Audits of associates work to ensure that all activities are carried out correctly.

Reporting and Counter Measuring:

• Identify, immediately countermeasure and report all safety related issues immediately to the Supplier Quality and Logistics GL.
• Report on all Supplier Quality KPI’s and communicate critical needs to all members of the Prototype Quality unit.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering related field or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum experience:

Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be required based on education.

Problem solving skills
▪ Knowledge of automobile construction and parts
▪ Knowledge of SAP Quality Management / Quality Notification modules.
▪ Knowledge of quality auditing.
▪ Knowledge of ISO quality standards.

▪ Intermediate CATIA skills to include the ability to review drawings for important characteristics and determine correct revision level for parts.
▪ Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
