About the Job
Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for handling the contracting functions of the Supply Chain department. The Supply Chain Analyst analyzes purchase data and works closely with vendors, distributors and buyers to ensure contract compliance and appropriate contract utilization. Performs the necessary research and analysis to provide sourcing initiative information, product usage data and financial impact summaries in support of the organizations strategic goals. Conducts RFP activities and reviews proposals, contracts or agreements to negotiate favorable terms, conditions and pricing for the Health System. Manages the contract database and prepares various reports to track key performance indicators. Evaluates and proposes savings opportunities through group buys or product conversions. Performs buying duties as needed to support the needs of the department.
Education: Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management. Business or Accounting is preferred. Associate Degree is required. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Licensure/ Certification: AHRMM, ISM or NAPM certification is preferred.
Experience: Must have personal computer experience and be proficient with Microsoft Word. PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with a Materials Management Information System is required.
Skills: Ability to work with a variety of departments and diverse stakeholders is required. Must be analytical, resourceful, detail-oriented, organized, quick and adaptable and possess strong communication and negotiation skills. Must be able to manage competing demands and handle with interruptions.
