About the Job
ABS Group is currently searching for enthusiastic, highly motivated leaders with strong organizational skills to join our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Risk Management Center's (NRMC) Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) team in Washington, DC, and support CISA in leading the national effort to protect and enhance the resilience of the nation's physical and cyber infrastructure.
The Supply Chain Data Scientist will support CISA and NRMC data science activities to quantify the impacts of supply chain disruptions from the failure of vendors, assets, or systems and/or qualify impacts under a situation of compromise. They shall provide technical staff with competencies in data science and data engineering that will specifically focus on data science workflow automation and development of technical data artifacts.
Specifically, this individual will be responsible for working with the data engineers/scientists to provide exploratory data visualization support for use in analytic products and deliverables compiled by partner task areas. They will help collect metric requirements, document data needs, and write scripts to transform data and calculate metrics for us in visualization.
Working Schedule
The preferred candidate for this position should be located in the DMV Metro area and open to work a minimum of two (2) days at the client site.

Reports to the Senior Program Manager and will have no direct reports.
Salary Range:
$100,000 to $120,000 based on experience
Notice:
This position requires access to information that is subject to control by the Export Administration Regulations and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Any offer of employment shall be contingent upon the Company's verification that the candidate is a "U.S. Person" or upon the receipt of all necessary export licenses or authorizations that may be required by U.S. export control laws. What You Will Do:
- Evaluate, collect, and organize information and data relevant to the development or use of analytic workflows to answer data related questions specific to understanding the risk to supply chains from threats and hazards.
- Develop the methodology to ensure deliverables can interoperate with code and models developed by other entities and meet the requirements of externally maintained systems.
- Perform data processing activities that support creation; curation; dissemination/information sharing; standardization; and decommissioning of various forms of data.
- Support qualitative and quantitative techniques and processes used.
Education and Experience
- 2 - 8 Years of experience in intelligence collection, analysis, and supply chain risk management.
- High School Diploma/GED: 8 years of experience
- Associate degree: 6 years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree: 4 years of experience
- Master's Degree: 2 years of experience
- Active Top-Secret Clearance
- Must be eligible to retain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility/access.
- Demonstrate competencies in data science and data engineering.
- Experience in data science workflow automation, systems engineering of data workflows and development of technical data artifacts.
- Experience in data acquisition from Public and Private sector data sources (including tasks focused on Extract/Transform/Load (ETL)) and data analysis requirement collection.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization frameworks (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Familiarity with Python scripting language and associated visualization packages (e.g. Plotly, PyVis, Altair, Vega, etc.)
- Ability to learn the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
