Supply Chain Intern Position Summary
The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain team to meet departmental and corporate objectives. The intern will provide support focusing on Supply Chain Management tasks and duties, including PO creation and maintenance, reporting, analytics, quoting, negotiations, and supplier management. The intern will assist the Supply Chain department with projects from scope definition through implementation. This position will be located in Bloomington, MN. The position will be on-site, working 40 hours/week.

Supply Chain Intern Position Summary
The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain team to meet departmental and corporate objectives. The intern will provide support focusing on Supply Chain Management tasks and duties, including PO creation and maintenance, reporting, analytics, quoting, negotiations, and supplier management. The intern will assist the Supply Chain department with projects from scope definition through implementation. This position will be located in Bloomington, MN. The position will be on-site, working 40 hours/week.
Supply Chain Intern Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with research, planning and implementation of strategic initiatives and improvements to optimize Supply Chain workflow and processes.
- Create POs, monitor PO statuses and follow up with suppliers as needed.
- Update and maintain supply chain data in the ERP system.
- Learn about building relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service to support customer centric strategies.
- Assist with supplier management: supplier setup and on-boarding, strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and supplier performance.
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, FDA, and medical device requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
- Assist with reporting, quoting and data analysis.
- Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve.
Supply Chain Intern Qualifications
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or another related field
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working relationships with suppliers, customers, and coworkers.
- Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable.
- Strong research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Experience with ERP systems helpful (Epicor, SAP, JDE, etc.)
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
