Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is a precision CNC parts manufacturing organization with expertise in multi-axis machining of metal parts with complex geometries. We produce machined parts for the automotive, aerospace, military and industrial industries.
What's your day like?
You will play a pivotal role in driving supplier quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metrics. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Shipping & Receiving Activities
- Procurement or Raw Material, components, Outside Processing, and other related business purchases
- Quoting of Raw Material and Outside Processing to support Engineering Department to support Customer RFQs
- Manage Finished Goods, WIP, and Inventory
- Manage Incoming material due dates to be aligned with production schedule.
- Negotiate bulk and preferred pricing from suppliers
- Keep PO Due Dates updated to support Scheduling Accuracy
- Develop systems and processes to support cross training and consistent performance to support the business needs.
- Drive supplier quality, delivery, cost and inventory metrics.
- Provide cross-functional materials and sourcing expertise and leadership across manufacturing, sales, and engineering teams.
- Track and report supplier performance and escalate supplier issues as appropriate. Recommend new suppliers based on quality, service, and competitive pricing.
- Facilitate risk management processes: contractor insurance, safety documents and pre-qualifications are in place and meet IP and mill requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering preferred.
- 3 years experience managing an operational buying/planning team.
- Strong Leadership skills. Able to build teams and build consensus with Staff, peers and direct reports.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Proven skills in bidding, negotiating, and administering contracts and agreements.
- Experience using Excel, Word, email, shipping software.
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Excellent communication skills and decision-making skills.
- Must perform all duties in conjunction with quality system requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This individual must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. We want you to be safe, so you will be required to follow company established safety procedures. This individual must meet minimum vision standards, corrected or uncorrected, as follows: Snellen 14/18, 20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches, or Ortho-Rated 8. Last, but not least, for ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
