Vaco Boston has partnered with our client who is looking to add a Supply Chain/Purchasing Coordinator to their team.
The Supply Chain/Purchasing Coordinator will manage and optimize our supply chain and purchasing activities
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and a strong background in cloud-based inventory and purchasing systems
Experience in manufacturing and handling logistics for inbound and outbound shipments is highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Purchasing and Inventory Management:
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and provide consistent, timely updates
• Keep the team informed when lead times are not meeting requirements and work with suppliers to improve disruptions
• Oversee and manage cloud-based inventory systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
• Coordinate with the planning team to improve the projected fill rate based on demand and supply shifts
• Logistics Coordination:
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including coordinating shipments, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, purchasing activities, and logistics performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for optimizing the supply chain.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, planning, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain or purchasing roles.
• Proven experience with cloud-based inventory and purchasing systems
Oracle a plus
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
