Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that all warehouse functions are completed accurately and on time. Keeps records on incoming and outgoing hospital shipments and prepares items for shipment. Responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets hospital standards for safety, security, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Organizes all items on pallet and carts including repacks for delivery by designated area.
Other duties as assigned.
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels within the Central Services department.
Prepares packages to ship out via FedEx, UPS, or Freight. Collects all documentation for outbound freight and ensures all documents including receiving paperwork are filed appropriately. Pick orders to be shipped as needed, ensure proper labels, weight and paperwork have been applied before shipping and examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications. Schedules inbound and outbound freight and comply with warehouse operations.
Receives, inspects, and verifies all hospital deliveries against delivery documents, purchase orders and non-purchase orders to ensure that the merchandise specifications, quality, count, price, etc. are as ordered and assists in resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensures all compliance to policies and procedures.
Utilizes material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport supplies or equipment to shipping locations or delivery platforms.
Identifies, assigns and affixes property control tags to capital equipment. Ensures that appropriate staff are notified of receipts and appropriate documentation is prepared.
Facilitates the movement of materials to internal and external customers. Manages pickup within facility and communication of items that need to be disposed or stored.
Delivers pallets or boxes to destination and obtains confirmation signatures of receipt by stakeholder(s). Maintains all records accurately and file appropriately.
Assists drivers with off-loading deliveries and bringing all received supplies and equipment to receiving area.
Acts as a liaison between Accounts Payable and Supply Chain Management Departments to process discrepancies as it relates to invoices, receipts and, or Purchase Orders as well as non PO's.
