Job Summary
As a Supply Chain Systems Analyst Intern at BPMI, you will be responsible for the complete life cycle supply chain management of all parts and components for nuclear power plants and supporting systems. These responsibilities include understanding how demand is projected for components and parts through establishing shipboard configuration and stock requirements, monitoring usage, and factoring for ship construction, refit, or decommissioning plans. In comparing and evaluating assets to needs, cognizance of all aspects of supply chain control is required, including availability planning, material planning, supply management, inventory control and storage, transportation, support in service, and disposal authorization. Extensive use and support of business systems, interaction with Navy fleet, suppliers, shipyards, and Government personnel. Analyst must also be able to coordinate with more experienced analysts to develop solutions to complex supply chain problems and issues involving formal oral and written communications.
This opportunity will begin Summer 2025, working a full-time schedule (40 hours/week). Please note, this is not a remote position. You will be expected to come into the office for this opportunity.

Essential Duties:
- Support the process steps and information flow for supply chain management life cycle function(s) under significant oversight (e.g., inventory planning and management, material movement, ship and component configuration, shipboard maintenance application management). Analyze data streams from all Program systems to ensure data are effective and accurate.
- Identify where data streams indicate potential errors and work with more experienced professionals to develop or recommend solutions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of, and comply with, business system processes and BPMI operating instructions governing assigned supply chain management function(s).
- Develop skills to support formal recommendations for Government approval.
- Develop skills to support the review of asset life-cycle supply chain processes, as documented in business system procedures, and recommend improvements.
- Develop skills to support testing of business system improvements.
- Support cyclic events within assigned functional areas such as annual reconciliations or audits.
- Perform other duties such as special projects or related non-essential functions, as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Interdisciplinary studies (combination of SCM, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics) or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of four full semesters completed prior to your internship (~60 credits).
- Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
