Job Description:
This role is for a specific period of time to cover a leave of absence within our Supply Chain team. This role has an estimated end date of September 30, 2024, at which time we'll revisit the status of the role and determine whether there are potential opportunities within Vetsource for continued employment.

Supply Planning Manager
The Supply Planning Manager ensures Vetsource has the right high-quality products, at the right time, the right inventory levels, at the right cost, and right location to serve our Pet Parents and Partners. The Supply Planning Manager leverages best practices and current trends to create, maintain, and develop supply, inventory, demand, supplier, and operational management processes, team members, and capabilities.
The Supply Planning Manager oversees the coordination, collaboration, and planning of inventory optimization, cost reductions, quality and service level improvements. Utilizing proactive, qualitative, and quantitative methods, they will build a framework for decision making with internal and external stakeholders/partners to ensure alignment.
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight, management, and leadership to our supply planning/purchasing team members, technologies, metrics and KPIs, communications, and business processes (Purchase Order Management, Supplier Management, Inventory Optimization, etc.)
Ensure accountability to high standards that align with best practices
Ensure predictive effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and team members at all levels of the organization(s) including finance, sales teams, operations, supply chain, regulatory, marketing, etc.
Create, implement, maintain, and develop performance measurements of suppliers, Inventory, service, forecasts, business processes, and technology tools to ensure alignment with organizational plans
Collect, manage, organize, and report on an extensive amount of data to draw data and metric-based conclusions in support of the business
Lead and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of technology, tools, processes, and team development utilizing formalized methods such as project management and/or change management
Establish, maintain, and ensure compliance with documented policies and procedures
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Relevant job titles that are similar to this advertised position include: Demand Planning Manager, Planning Manager, Purchasing Planning Manager, Materials Planning Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, operations, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in purchasing, supplier management, master planning and/or demand planning, inventory management
3+ years demonstrated experience in a leadership and/or managerial capacity
Experience in multi-location environment
Experienced working in integrated ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) with advanced understanding of MSP/MRP
Strong analytical acumen, business modeling, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, SharePoint/Google Sites, etc.)
Working conditions:
Environment where dogs are present if in the office
Sitting at a desk for long periods of time
Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
Occasionally stooping, lifting and/or bending
