SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Supply Technician to provide material handling, warehouse, storage, and logistics support of engineering systems and equipment.
Position responsibilitieswill include, but are not limited to the following:
·Monitor material requirements and tracks movement with purchasing, production, and warehouses in accordance with defined priorities.
·Estimate and proactively manages project-related workload requirements.
·Establish location and quantity control.
·Develop an understanding of customer’s logistics requirements.
·Examine delivered material to verify if type specified.
·Coordinate the transfer of material, parts, and finished products between the source and the final destination.
·Carry out disposition instructions based upon direction from the Project Manager or Logistics Analyst and/or the customer.
·Input and maintain required property record files and database records.
·Perform property physical inventory audits.
·Research various databases to establish material retrieval locations, material sources, and disposition.
·Oversee federal stock system research programs used to establish manufacturer, part number, and national stock number.
·Review kits for accuracy in support of job orders.
·Comply with Government Property guidelines and follows related Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures.
·Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
·Provide status reports to management as required.
·May be responsible for evaluating performance of junior staff and/or subordinates.
·May assist in the selection, training, and development of staff.
·May lead and direct tasks assigned to junior personnel.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
·High school diploma or GED equivalent.
·Six (6) + years of experience in in logistical tracking, reporting, record keeping, warehousing, material transfer, issuance, and disposition of government and/or commercial property.
·Five (5) years of experience, to include:
oSupervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility
oFinancial management
oLogistics support for projects involving electronic/electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources
·Understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) inventory management systems and techniques.
