The incumbent verifies the absence of a legally responsible relative from a household, locates the individual and secures financial support from them

This position differs from that of Social Services Investigator in that there is no responsibility for fraud investigation

Work is performed under general supervision of a Senior Support Investigator with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work
