We are seeking a Support Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting both clients and caregivers. While primarily focused on providing support, you will need to be available to work with clients in the Pierre service area. The successful candidate must reside in the Pierre service area and will contribute to the day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of quality care to our clients and providing meaningful work opportunities to our employees.

- Provide caregivers with the support, training and resources needed to succeed
- Ensure clients are scheduled according to their preferences and needs
- Ensure caregivers are scheduled according to their availability and hours requests
- Ensure good client and caregiver compatibility and overall satisfaction with the agency
- Support caregivers by filling in if illness or emergencies prevent caregivers from completing their shifts
- Ensure caregivers receive the proper training needed by introducing caregivers to clients, providing hands on training both in the office and in the client’s home, be a mentor to caregivers and complete supervisory visits
- Assist with office administrative duties such as updating care plans, reviewing caregiver notes, scheduling, finalizing shifts, installing emergency response systems and all other duties as assigned
- Assist with human resource duties
- Meet with clients and client family members to complete initial and ongoing documentation required to provide services
- Participate in on call schedule which will include a rotating weeknight, weekend and holiday schedule
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
- 2 years’ caregiving or certified nursing assistant preferred
- 1 year experience in healthcare administration setting preferred
- This position serves Miller and Pierre and Reports to our Mitchell office. Must be able to travel to these areas should the need arise.

- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn necessary applications to run the business operations
- Must have reliable transportation and current valid driver’s license
- Proof of automobile insurance and eligibility for employment in the United States
