POSITION TITLE: Overnight Staff Monitor
Supportive Living Program
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor safety and well being of the individuals residing at the Supportive Living Program.
- Meet with the Program Supervisor on an occasional basis to review client/ building safety issues.
- Provide on-site program support as assigned by Program Supervisor
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, including mobilizing 911 services and executing evacuation procedures.
- Implement universal precautions procedures as needed.
- Perform receptionist duties, including answering staff phone line and admitting people to the building.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic literacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
- Demonstrated ability to think clearly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in crisis situations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and model for other clients, through supportive and encouraging interactions.
- Appreciation for and comfort in working with culturally diverse client population.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated professional behavior (being punctual, courteous, appropriately dressed, etc.)
REPORTS TO: Program Supervisor
PAY SCALE: $9.00 an hour
WORK HOURS: Part-time
SPECIFIC PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENTS
- Provide mediation and conflict resolution.
- Check on the physical and emotional well being of all clients by performing rounds 3 times on every shift.
- Make sure facility is secured and safe throughout shift.
- Document any concerns in a report left on the Program Supervisor's voice mail after completion of shift.
- Assist medically compromised or bed-ridden clients as needed.
SITE
- Assist volunteers as needed with their volunteer activities.
- Monitor visitor traffic in and out of the building.
- Check the program voice mailbox on a regular basis.
- Hand out resident mail.
- Place work orders for routine maintenance issues.
- Page Maintenance Crew for urgent property management issues and follow-up with Program Supervisor as needed.
- Complete shift checklist and route to Program Supervisor's mailbox.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
