Summary:




The Supervisor of Facilities reports to the Facilities Director. The Supervisor directs and supervises the maintenance shop staff and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Ensures scheduled and corrective maintenance work orders are completed in a timely manner. Ensures that staff have supplies and training to complete maintenance. Works with staff on completing work orders. Conducts evaluations of staff. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for ensuring that the core business functions, and safety of the Facilities staff work safely and with a high degree of customer satisfaction. The supervisor will also work in their respective field (Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing…) This position is also part of an on-call schedule rotation.


Responsibilities:





+ Check the CMMS software for upcoming maintenance and issue work orders.


+ Monitors compliance with legal and accrediting requirements related to areas of responsibility functions and services.


+ Completes work orders in their own field of expertise.


+ Conducts ongoing high, middle, and low performer conversations with direct reports including appropriate follow up.


+ Assists other facilities staff as necessary to complete work on time.


+ Safety programs Lock Out/ Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection.


+ PM program and Joint Commission required Utility Systems Management Plan.


+ Ensures that staff enter work time in TMS and use the proper problem code.


+ Supervises the mechanical staff’s completion of periodic maintenance in the month assigned.

+ This is a working supervisor role. The supervisor is responsible to work in their respective craft while supervising the facilities maintenance staff.
