About the Job
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Urology Surgeon to work in a health care facility located in Columbia, SC. The Urologist will provide onsite care to include clinical coverage, consultation, evaluation, assessment, treatment, minor or major surgical procedures.
On call coverage and call backs are also a requirement not included in the 40 hours weekly description.
This position is for an Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay Rate: $220/hr
Description:
The physician care shall cover the range of UROLOGY SURGERY services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Association for Urologist.
Services Provided:
License:
The physician to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed onsite at the facility. All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Physician who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.
Board Certification:
Physician shall be Board Certified by the American Board of UROLOGY SURGEONS, and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times.
HOURS OF OPERATION/SCHEDULING:

HOURS OF OPERATION/SCHEDULING:
- Currently, normal clinic hours are _Monday through Friday 0800-1630. Scheduled operating days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 0700- 1600. Physician(s) shall report at a minimum of 20 (twenty) minutes prior to starting of each shift scheduled.
- Patients must be seen by a physician on-site at the facility in a timely manner in accordance with its Rules and Regulations on clinic wait times and consult completion.
- Consults- An attending will be responsible for consultations to UROLOGY and will be available to discuss and or examine patients when consults are requested on a 24/7 basis, including federal holidays. For inpatient consults, the attending will meet with each new patient seen in consultation, write a personal progress note and sign the electronic medical record. The facility's timeliness standards for inpatient consults must be met. The attending will be responsible for the management of consultation requests in conjunction with administrative personnel. The attending must also monitor time to completion rates, and actions to correct deficiencies in performance or documentation.
- Physician shall be available and present in clinic during normal A Health Care System clinic hours which will be established, and may be revised, as deemed appropriate for patient care by the Chief of Staff.
- Off-hours Coverage: The physician shall be required to carry a pager and or cellular phone and shall remain within a thirty (30) minute travel radium of the facility when on-call
