Responsibilities:The Surgery Procedure Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the schedules of physicians operating rooms anesthesiologists equipment lab work and any other required items/staff in accordance with a physicians recommendation for patient care. Acts as a liaison between the patient provider/referring physician primary care physician and other parties involved in the surgery/procedure to include distribution of pre and post-operative information to the patient. Gather and record financial and insurance information and ensure authorizations are obtained prior to the procedure/surgery.
Qualifications:Minimum
High School Diploma/GED
One year prior front office or clerical experience required
Basic Computer skills Google workspace -based programs
Ability to organize work so that productivity and effectiveness are maximized
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
One year surgical scheduling experience
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
