Surgical Assistant (1st Assist) - Part Time - WSi Healthcare Personnel

WSi is seeking a 1st Surgical Assist for a Part-Time Direct Hire Role!

Summary: We are looking for an experienced and certified 1st Surgical Assist to join a highly respected surgical center in the Cherry Creek area. In this role, you will provide direct assistance to surgeons during various surgical procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes for both patients and the surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients using stabilizing equipment to maximize both surgical exposure and patient comfort/safety.
• Provide clear visualization of the operative site by manipulating tissue, retracting, sponging, suctioning, and irrigating as needed.
• Use proper techniques to achieve both temporary and permanent hemostasis.
• Assist with closing body planes, applying wound dressings, and securing drainage systems post-surgery.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Schedule:

• Part time- Most cases that need coverage are on Fridays, with an additional afternoon shift once per month.
