POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of support activities for the surgical team promoting efficient processes and patient flow. Under the direction of the RN Circulator and physician, performs scrub duties. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
High School diploma required. On the job education provided. Previous hospital experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Certified Nursing Assistant encouraged. Bi-Annual CPR certification required (renew every 2 years)
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique required. Familiarity with medical terminology. Good organizational skills required. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
