Surgical Billing Specialist - Medloop

Medloop a large multi-specialty medical billing company servicing many clients across the US mostly in NY/NJ is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Surgical Billing Specialist.  The Surgical Billing Specialist will be responsible for multiple accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as a liaison between patient, insurer, and practice
• Provide customer support to customers with disputes or inquiries concerning invoices or billing process
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a customer service focus
• Create reports for customers
• Processing appeals
• Analyze, research and resolve denials
• Investigate and resolve insurance recoupments
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Key Skills/Experience

• 6+ years Surgery Billing experience required
• OON experience required
• Multi State Billing experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of collection practices and laws
• Detail oriented and organized
• Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software

Job Type: Full-time (In the office - Not Remote)

Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 Annually

*Pay rate is based on candidate’s Medical Billing work experience - specifically with Surgery Billing; key skills, training, as well as industry and organization considerations when extending an offer.
