Surgical Services Manager at Clinical Management Consultants

An award winning teaching hospital is searching for a strong, experienced Surgical Services Nurse Manager to lead this busy department in Sunny Southern California. 

The Nurse Manager of Surgical Services will join an amazing non-profit teaching hospital that has been recognized as one of America's best hospitals for general surgery and overall as one of the top hospitals in the state of California.  This 170+ bed facility has also earned awards for Patient Excellence and Safety. 

The Surgical Services Manager will report to the the Surgical Services Director. This person will be supported a CNOR Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager, as well as a tenured and experienced team of Surgery RNs. 

The energy in this 7-OR Surgical Services Unit can only be described as a team-environment, which makes the support that everyone offers that much more important. Perioperative Services has earned great distinction for its General Surgery services line, and the new Nurse manager will have the opportunity to manage two programs. 

The Nurse manager is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of PACU, GI and operations in surgical services. The Manager will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff. The Surgical Services Nurse Manager will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the Manager will also help develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance.
