Performs various tasks and duties to provide technical assistance and support to medical/surgical staff and personnel during surgical procedures. 

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
3. One (1) or more years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
4. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital personnel, and promote collaboration among disciplines in coordinating patient care.
5. Must hold American Heart Association BLS credential.

PREFERRED: 

1. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Technologist in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
