Job Summary

• To assess, evaluate and care for surgical patients of all ages.
• This includes but is not limited to preparation of surgical supplies, instruments and equipment on the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon during procedures.
• Provides care for all ages of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.

Education and/or Experience

• Post high school graduate of a surgical technologist program is preferred.
• Actual scrubbing experience during technologist program is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Must have certification as a surgical technologist or be eligible to write the certification exam with the goal of completion of certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Day shifts
  • 8-hour shifts

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
