Surgical Technician/RN Scrub - Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC

Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a motivated Surgical Technician or RN who Scrubs to join our team at our state of the art Ambulatory Surgery Center. In this role, you will care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and be an integral team member providing surgical support for all bone, muscle, joint and spine cases. Hours: Daytime hours, Monday - FridayESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Scrubs surgical cases.Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and functioning and seeks appropriate resource when necessary.Assists in the circulating role under the direct supervision of RN.Prepares for surgical cases in an efficient manner, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia provider and other OR team members.Provides a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to standards of aseptic technique and department policy.Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, team members and ancillary staff.Participates in the performance improvement process and adheres to regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
