**Salary Range:** $21.00 - $33.00
**Pay Info:** Sign-on bonuses available for eligible applicants - LPNs start at $21.00/hour, non-certified surgical techs start at $24.00/hour, certified surgical techs start at $25.50/hour and increase based on years of applicable experience
**Department Details**
The Family Birth Center specializes in operations such as C-sections, hysterectomies, D&C's, cerclage placement and removal, and assisting with vaginal deliveries.
Schedule: 3-12 hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, starting at 6:30am or 6:30pm.
You will typically work together with another surg tech during your shift as our goal is to staff 2 on each shift every day. One surg tech acts as the scrub tech and the other surg tech 1st assists. As you gain experience, you have the opportunity to advance your skills on the unit as the first assist with the provider.

· Provide assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures, including pre paring and organizing operating room instruments and supplies.
· Anticipate the surgeons needs during a procedure.

**Qualifications**
Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
If an LPN, currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
If working in North Dakota and not an LPN, must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at the time employment begins.
Experience in an operating room setting is preferred. Must have a good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical and surgical terminology, instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and surgical procedures acquired through post-secondary training.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within first 60 days of employment into position.
Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
