Position Title: Surveillance Technician
Department: Surveillance
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
A Surveillance Technician maintains all Surveillance electrical equipment and quickly reports any equipment problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance scheduled for the surveillance equipment.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of Surveillance equipment.
- Aid in Surveillance equipment movement and additions.
- Use, maintain and troubleshoot digital video/audio surveillance equipment to monitor gaming activities using multiple monitors.
- Maintain a professional work ethic at all times.
- Adhere to departmental confidentiality requirements.
- Work effectively with Surveillance staff.
- Work odd and unusual hours including weekends and holidays.
- Follow instructions given by supervisors.
- Maintain knowledge of surveillance methods and procedures.
- Be knowledgeable of or be willing to learn gaming rules, regulations/procedures for table games to include video slot machines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of duties, reports, investigations and any other job related information at all times.
- Follow standard operating procedures and departmental operating guidelines.
- Make quick decisions under stressful conditions.

- At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
- Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have relevant work experience.
Licensing & Certification:
- Technical Certificate in electronics or networking preferred.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Lifts (e.g., boom scissor, man).
- Knowledge of general surveillance viewing applications and networking.
- Electrician tools (e.g., crimps, cutters, splicers and testing equipment).
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to crouch/stoop, drive, kneel, reach overhead, stand, walk, and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to lift 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull, carry and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift and slide/transfer 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift and slide/transfer 50+ lbs. 1-24% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- Requires the ability to solve problems, organize and interpret data 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability plan, make decisions, read and write 25-50% of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to hot/cold temperatures and within confined areas.
Other Requirements:
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board and must provide/maintain a valid New Mexico drivers’ license.
- Must comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
- Must attend and pass surveillance training classes and courses.
- Must obtain and maintain lift operating license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
