About the Job
HILGARTWILSON, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to become a part of our growing company. HILGARTWILSON provides a full service survey services to our clients. Our crews perform construction staking, as-built surveys, control, boundary, topographic and ALTA surveys. HILGARTWILSON has extensive experience providing services on many of the Valley’s largest and most prestigious master-planned communities, retail, office, educational, healthcare, mixed use developments and public works projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of land surveying by running a crew or working alone with a robotic instrument and possess the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members to successfully complete projects.
Responsibilities:- Use Civil 3D to prepare electronic drawings from field data, legal documents, marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction
- Preparation of boundary, topographic and ALTA/NSPS surveys, subdivision plats, and results of land surveys
- Instruct survey crews in efficient coding, linework and data collection procedures
- Produce metes and bounds legal descriptions and exhibits
- Organize and schedule own work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines
- Degree or computer-related certification
- 3+ years of Civil 3D experience with land survey projects
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD
- Understands and is competent in the process of developing various types of survey drawings, including ATLA surveys
- Understands principles and requirements for subdivision platting
- Experience with Pix4D is a plus
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel to various offices and project sites when necessary
