About the Job
Ardurra is seeking a Survey Instrument Man (I-man) to join the team at our Dallas Office (11355 McCree Rd, Dallas, TX, 75238). This is a full-time position, requiring a positive attitude, working out of town occasionally, and the ability to work with a team.
Primary Function:
To operate all instruments and measuring devices needed to complete different types of survey work assignments.
Primary Duties
- Assist Party Chief
- Ensure the survey vehicle is fully equipped for daily tasks
- Clear line using a machete
- Locate boundary
- Interact with coworkers and property owners in a polite and respective manner
Education and Experience Requirements
- Having knowledge of and being able to operate the following survey equipment is preferred but not required: GPS, Robotic Total Station, Digital Level & Data Collector.
- Experience with Trimble equipment is preferred.
- Having general knowledge of standard surveying procedures and methods is preferred but not required.
- A minimum of one year of surveying experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Knowledge of basic math.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass Independent School District (ISD) Background Checks.
- Must be able to follow instructions completely.
- Motivation to do physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to get to and from the Dallas office daily.
- Willing to work out of town (ie. outside of the DFW area) occasionally.
