The Survey Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing survey operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing project budgets, and maintaining the quality of survey deliverables.
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management of multiple concurrent land survey projects, including preparation of boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, right-of-way, horizontal/vertical control, GIS, geodetic, bathometric, as-built, underground utilities, and various other types of surveys as well as preliminary and final plats, condominium documents, and legal descriptions.
This position demands exceptional leadership, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills to drive project success and foster a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:- Plans, directs, and coordinates work of the local survey department
- Provides guidance/direction to Survey Technicians and Field Crews
- Proven understanding of platting and land development
- Prepares proposals
- Manages project budgets and client invoicing
- Responsible for quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others
- Adheres to corporate QA/QC guidelines and principles
- Manages, trains, and mentors other members of the Survey Department
- 3 plus years of experience with Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license required.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Ability to handle complex issues/problems
- Ability to manage performance of Survey team members and handle personnel issues as appropriate or needed.
- Ability to work in and lead a team
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization, both verbally and written.
- Must be dependable and reliable
