Overview:Organize and lead survey team on assigned projects. Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project execution. Manage daily workflow of assigned projects to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities:Leadership and Direction
- Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced techniques and principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement. Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for project due diligence but also during data collection, processing, and delivery activities for the projects.
Do the Work
- Understand and manage the workflow on projects, including initial project kick-off and daily metrics, work in close coordination with internal teams.
- Assist in preparing estimates based on the client’s requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with multiple departments (i.e., engineering, remote sensing, environmental) as needed to ensure accurate quotes, scope of work, and lead times.
- Follow up on estimates as necessary.
- Coordinate multiple projects; create and/or update project plans (monitor the acquisition processes, proactively communicate with project stakeholders).
- Under the direction of senior leadership, assist in project planning for assigned projects.
- Assist senior leadership with business development opportunities.
- Prepare project tracking reports, reconcile database, and ensure project schedules and budget are met.
- Adapt to changes in project process and scope and proactively assist in problem solving.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Monitor and communicate project progress and scope.
- Proactively communicate internally and externally, acting as client point of contact.
- Track, assign and assist in maintaining equipment needed for project personnel.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners.

- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- Three or more (3+)years of related experience (ideally in professional services and/or project management).
- Adept at creating/managing spreadsheets or other project management tools to organize information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
- Mobility around an office environment.
- Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Partly outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
- Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Frequent and prolonged use of data collection equipment and/or drones, necessitating walking the assigned study area to complete data collection over the course of several hours.
- Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
- Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
