Our client is looking for Surveyors to join their team from Junior to Highly experienced levels.

- The majority of the work is in the field, primarily in the Columbia/midlands area but occasional travel to other regions of South Carolina. Very rare any project would be out of state or require an overnight stay.
- Your Role with the Company
As a surveyor, you will be vital in collecting and analyzing data to support our engineering projects, develop plats for commercial and residential properties, and stake buildings and property corners for residential buildings. You will also have access to state-of-the-art surveying equipment and technology, enabling you to deliver high-quality results.
Objectives of this role
- Conducting surveys using advanced equipment and techniques to gather accurate measurements and data, including topography, boundaries and existing structures.
- Identifying land boundaries, markers and existing infrastructure to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers and architects to provide survey information for design and construction purposes.
Your tasks
- Carry out field surveys to measure and map land, using various surveying instruments to establish precise control points and reference systems.
- Collect precise measurements, coordinates and other relevant data, like elevation, distance and angles, to establish boundaries and features of the land.
- Perform topographic surveys to map natural and man-made features of the land, including contours, vegetation, utilities and structures.
- Collaborate with project teams to determine and support engineering and construction activities, providing recommendations for planning and design.
- Conduct research and analysis to gather relevant information on land records, property titles and legal restrictions.
- Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations and safety protocols
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during fieldwork and adhere to ethical standards in surveying practices.
Required skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment and software
- Experience in land survey laws, regulations and practices
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
