Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team at 99 Ranch Market. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of fresh sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls, using high-quality ingredients. You will ensure food safety standards are met, maintain cleanliness in the preparation area, and engage with customers to enhance their shopping experience by offering recommendations and insights into our sushi offerings. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sushi preparation, excellent knife skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Sushi Preparation: Create a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls, utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients to meet our culinary standards.
- Food Safety: Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, providing recommendations and explaining sushi selections to enhance their dining experience and foster customer loyalty.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper stock of sushi ingredients to support uninterrupted service.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and support other culinary tasks as needed, promoting a positive team environment.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a sushi chef or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of sushi preparation techniques and presentation.
- Culinary Skills: Excellent knife skills and a solid knowledge of fish handling and preparation.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, presentation, and cleanliness in all aspects of food preparation.
- Communication: Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Position Details:
- Employment type: Full time.

- Shift: 8AM-5PM.
