We are looking for a Senior Vice President of Trading Technology Operations who will be effective in learning and managing tasks across multiple departments and a variety of duties. This is a fast-paced role in an exciting and expanding company.
Responsibilities:
• Report to the Chief Operating Officer on all exchange operations.
• Serve as the technology and operations representative on the Executive Advisory Council to align
priorities and expectations across the division and organization.
• Ability to influence colleagues to support business goals.
• Oversee the day-to-day monitoring of systems and applications for the Dream Exchange.
• Ensure Operators validate system integrity on a daily basis.
• Prepare daily report on electronic exchange system performance and measurement.
• Prepare monthly presentations for Exchange Executive Council regarding system performance.
• Chair daily production conference meetings of technology staff, gather and report technology
system compliance and performance incidents for prior trading day – recommend action for test
and validation to CCO.
• Responsible for the Dream Exchange trading applications, including hosted applications. Act of
primary point of contact with all third-party service providers.
• Maintain technical operation and maintenance of these systems throughout operating hours.
• Troubleshoot any issues and/or problems that may occur during a trading day in an efficient manner,
in order to assure continuous functionality of the applications with minimal disruption to any system
and optimal performance to exchange members.
• Oversee (opening) start of day and/or (closing) end of day procedures necessary for market
functioning.
• Create and maintain required documentation (e.g., financial reports, emergency procedural guides,
run books, design and business specifications, test plans and scripts) and provide data to CISO, CCO
and regulatory areas including efficient solutions.
• Oversight of production releases as directed by COO.
• Perform procedures to procure data for storage and audit.
• Oversee all technology operations staff and perform system checkouts on staff and recommend any
corrective training or other actions to take when issues are discovered.
• Creation and execution of test scripts for regression, capacity, operational and system testing.
• Responsible for shift scheduling and turnover documentation.
• Deep operational expertise and experience related to capital markets products, operational and market risk, industry best practices, technology/operational platforms, and the regulatory landscape.
