This is a full time position working 12 hour Night shifts as a SWAT / Resource Nurse at Northwest Medical Center.

The Resource Nurse / SWAT Nurse responds to emergency events and evaluates assigned patients, providing life saving medications and interventions, plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during high acuity and special procedures at the bedside in various departments throughout the hospital.
Responds emergently to codes, RRT, STEMI / BAT (stroke response team) and serve as an expert resource to other nurses when faced with emergent or complicated clinical scenarios.
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Performs a wide variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Prior acute care experience required

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Required: Associates or Diploma in nursing program
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience:
2 or more years experience as a RN in critical care setting
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS and ACLS
