About the Job
Job Summary: Welding metal aluminum boxes for industrial electrical control panels. Some structural welding of 4g, and 3g welds building frames for E-House. Will have to pass weld test. TIG MIG weld test on 12, 14, and 16 gauge. Also weld on heavy tubing that is 3/8” and 1/4” wall to test fitter skills.
Shifts: Swing 4x10’s: 4:00 pm to 3:00 am Monday -Thursday
Responsibilities:
- Welding materials using the correct materials to join metal together
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
- Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
- Checking finished work to make sure it falls within the tolerance marked on the blueprints
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding
- Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of metallurgy
- Be able to meet the physical demands that welding will require
