Switchboard Operator - Central Registration - Maine Health

Position Summary

Effects prompt and efficient telephone communications between persons outside and/or within the organization, providing paging announcements by utilizing the public address system, greeting the public, providing patients and visitors with information they request, in accordance with established Policy guidelines.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent, or one to three months' related experience preferred.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience:Six months of experience in switchboard position
4. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is desired
5. Detail-oriented and able to complete projects independently
6. Excellent grammar, writing and organizational skills are desired
