At Accenture Federal Services; we are seeking a Systems Administrator to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The Mid-Level System Administrator shall be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of software applications and systems within the efforts infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of software systems to meet the effort requirements and needs of users
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Installing and configuring software applications, databases, and middleware components according to best practices and system requirements.
- Monitoring the performance, health, and availability of software systems and applications.
- Performing routing maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and security.
- Configuring and managing security policies, firewalls, and access controls to enforce security.
- Providing technical support and assistance for end-users
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
Must Have:
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required OR Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity working within Cloud Environment (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, etc.) and working with Red Hat Linux
- Experience using scripting languages to include bash shell scripting, PowerShell, and CLI
- Experience working as a Windows Administrator and maintain Domain Services.
- Experience with developing IP tables and RPMs and with maintaining multiple networks
- Familiarity with ssh, firewalls, network hardware and configuration, routing requirements
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:
$97,300—$196,500 USD
