Job Description:
Apex Systems, along with one of our largest Retail/Grocery clients, is looking to fill a Systems Administrator opportunity.Key details are attached below. If interested send an updated resume, along with the best time to connect via phone, to [email protected].
Shift: 1st shift, 8 hours (flexible start time, EDT). Occasional overnight patches.
On-Call Cycle:
- 10-week on-call cycle once trained
- Includes user setup and access issues
- Additional support for production issues when on call
Location: Any operating locations (Salisbury, Greenville, Quincy, Scarborough, Hannaford).
Hybrid: 3 days in office
Qualifications and Must-Haves:
- Proficiency in SQL, Operating Systems (Windows, Unix)
- Experience with NCR AMS or Loyalty system
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with scrum process
- Strong team player with collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt and change priorities as needed
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain networks and computer systems
- Set up user accounts on organization’s servers
- Run necessary system backups
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot LAN and data network issues
- Perform some programming and script writing
- Entry-level position with routine tasks and close supervision
Focus:
- Directly focused on NCR AMS (Advanced Marketing System)
- Work on a scrum team for patch installations and updates across various operating systems
- Budgeted through the end of the year, with potential extension
