Job Type:
- Mid - Senior Level, Full-Time
- Non-Remote located in Columbia, MD
Clearance & Citizenship Requirements:
- Top Secret/SCI with polygraph required
- Due to these clearance requirements, US citizenship is also required
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing, configuring, maintaining, patching, expanding, and supporting IT network(s) both classified and unclassified
- Supporting Cybersecurity best practices to include STIG, scanning, tracking, and maintenance
- Supporting end users and related equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Engineer, or similar role
- Experience with using Jira and Confluence for organization and documentation
- Proven experience maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure to include:
- Configuring and securing routers and switches
- Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures
- Monitoring network capacity and performance
- Installing, testing, and maintaining hardware and software devices
- Patching network vulnerabilities
- Windows configuration and maintenance
- Active Directory configuration and security to include OU design and GPO development
- WSUS setup, maintenance, and off-line use
- O365/Azure configuration and maintenance
- Familiar with administering cloud-hosted Teams, Exchange, and Sharepoint
- Familiar with Azure and hybrid-domain administration
- Linux configuration and maintenance experience
- Off-line mirror setup and maintenance (APT, YUM, PIP, …)
- Network configuration and maintenance experience
- Cisco routers and switches using Cisco IOS
- Cisco firewalls are a plus
- NetApp or other NAS maintenance experience
- Ubiquti, Juniper, and wireless access point experience is a plus
- VMware experience
- ESXi, VSphere, and VCenter experience
- Design, maintenance, and security of on-premises virtual infrastructure
- Setup and maintenance of vVol and or iSCSI experience
- Experience with Nessus, Rapid7 or ACAS
- Physical requirements
- Must be able to physically lift/maintain physical servers and workstations
- Must have sufficient mobility to work under desks/bottom of IT cabinet for installation and maintenance of networking/computer equipment
- Certifications, at least one of the following in order to meet IAT II certification:
- CCNA Security
- CCNA
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+
- CND (Certified Network Defender)
- SSCP
- BS Degree in a STEM related field desired
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Works well with a team
- Docker, Ansible, and Kubernetes a plus
- AWS, GCP, Azure, and other Cloud-based Infrastructure experience is a plus
- PXE image creation and usage experience
- Atlassian Suite deployment and support (Jira/Confluence)
- Gitlab deployment and support
- Experience creating off-line WSUS, APT, and other mirrors
- Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code experience is a plus
- Experience with cloud technologies to include AWS/Azure is a plus
- Wireless Access Points and/or Juniper networking equipment experience is a plus
