Requirements
- Active CompTIA Security + certification
- Three or more years of direct, hands-on experience providing IT-related technical support for DoD Command and Control (C2) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs, projects or initiatives that included the following:
- Administrator level experience with at least 3 of the following four operating systems:
- ESXi
- RHEL
- Windows 10/11 Professional/Enterprise
- Windows Server 2016/2019 in at least two of the following four roles/functions:
- Domain Controller
- DNS
- DHCP
- File Server
- Configuration and/or troubleshooting experience with at least five of the following 11 technologies:
- Cisco switches and routers
- Tactical Data Links
- Tactical Radios
- Encryption devices such as the KG-175
- Ground to Air Transmitter/Receiver
- IP-enabled telephones
- Joint Relay Extension
- 721S family of Fixed Site VHF-UHF Radio Transceivers
- RT-9000D HF Transceiver
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Battlefield Command Control and Communications (BC3) systems
Desired Skills
- Past, direct experience with USAF Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and subsystems
- Past direct experience USAF ATC Radar systems such as the Mode 5 Operational Autonomous Surveillance System (Mode 5 OAS), Airport Surveillance Radar - 8 (ASR-8), and AN/TPS-75 Long Range Radar
- Microsoft operating system certification (client or server)
- Network + certification
- VMware Certified Technical Associate or higher certification
- CCNA certification
Description
- Provides IT-related technical support and system administration to the USAF ATC mission. This includes identifies, diagnoses, troubleshoots and fixes errors and problems with:
- Windows, RHEL and ESXi based clients and servers
- Active Directory domain
- User accounts and access to local and networked resources
- LAN/WAN configuration and connectivity
- IP-enabled telephones
- Various Software Defined Radio (SDR) radio systems
- Installs and tests software patches and firmware updates
- Configures and tests Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
- Provides remote technical support to system users/operators
- Provides documentation support such as hardware/software installation procedures and user guides
