System Administrator - Network Tools - Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc.

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a System Admin – Network Tools professional to support a major national laboratory.

• Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them.
• Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish, and manage user accounts, upgrade, and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
• Familiar with network automation, monitoring, orchestration, troubleshooting, and provisioning tools, such as InMon products, AKIPS, Radiator AAA tools, application performance management products, and network performance management products.

• AA in IT Related field plus 4 years of IT experience

• In lieu of degree 7 years of job-related experience is required.

• U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance

• Experience in Windows/Linux system administration

• Complete knowledge of networking principles for conjuring and maintaining the organization of the network

• Proper understanding all types of hardware including routers, switches, wires, and other essential equipment

• Knowledge of the common operating systems such as Linux, MS OS

• Knowledge of IP addressing and some common networking protocols like IPv4 and IPv6.

• Experience performing any network performance issues such as system crash.

• Self-starter

• Strong advance problem solving skills

• Solaris 11 Unix Certification
• CompTIA Security +
• CompTIA Network +
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
• CCNA Certification
