Ingersoll is a global leader in developing advanced machine tools for the world's aerospace, transportation, energy, and other heavy industries. We manufacture the largest metal removal, automated composite placement, and 3D printing machines in the world.
We are seeking a creative, driven, and highly motivated System Administrator/Technology Specialist to join our team!
Summary:
The System Administrator/ Technology Specialist aids the IT department in setting up, keeping, supporting, and administrating server hardware and software and other related tasks. Performing help desk duties daily.
Responsibility:
- Administrate Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
- Configure/Administrate Servers, Virtual Machines, Clusters.
- Maintain Security standards on Servers/Workstations/Network.
- Manage Windows Software Updates for Servers and Workstations (WSUS).
- Manage ancillary software used for security and monitoring.
- Maintain Asset Inventory and software licenses.
- Manage and support data backups and disaster recovery processes.
- Help with other tasks in IT and other departments as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Competency in Active Directory, Group policy, DNS, DHCP.
- Microsoft 365 suite administrative experience.
- Hyper-V VM and Cluster Management and Shared Storage (SAN's) ability desired.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems.
- DFARS/NIST/CMMC Cybersecurity experience desired.
- Working knowledge of ConnectWise Automate, Netwrix.
- Familiarity with routers, managed switches, VLAN's, ACL's.
- Familiarity with CAD software and license servers' installation and support.
- Capable of troubleshooting server related problems with expediency.
- Capable of working efficiently by routine daily activities/schedules.
- Capable of managing multiple projects to fruition.
- Effective communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- SEM Tool experience SolarWinds or equivalent.
- Sophos anti-virus management or équivalent
- Configure and support WI-FI access points throughout the facility. Ubiquiti or equivalent.
- Cisco Firewall experience preferred.
Other requirements:
- Work hours are day shift and as needed to meet the completion of projects.
- Off hours may be needed in certain cases.
- Be able to work unsupervised.
- Interact with people daily.
Education:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or certifications
- Five or more years equivalent work experience in a similar job or environment.
- MCSA or MCSE Server Administration from Microsoft, CompTIA, Network +, CCNA preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds, reach overhead, and bend over equipment as needed.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at Ingersoll's facilities.
- Ability to work in various physical positions in accordance too work requirements.
