We are looking for a System Administrator (SA) to join our team in supporting PEO Aviation.
The System Administrator (SA) will be responsible for working with a small team to operate, sustain, and maintain multiple government standalone classified network systems. Daily duties may include system maintenance, Active Directory maintenance, audit log reviews, data transfer operations, routine required updates/patching, and general troubleshooting of system issues. The SA will also assist with maintaining the system documentation to ensure compliance with Authorization to Operate (ATO) procedures and government regulations along with preparing for ATO renewal as required.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, product development, and product maintenance for assigned systems.
- Performing security compliance continuous monitoring.
- Completing Audit of system logs.
- Maintaining all Linux (RHEL) OS instances to include patching as required.
- Monitoring system health.
- Ensuring procedures and operations are conducted in accordance with system documentation and pertinent regulatory guidance.
- Monitoring ACAS for system vulnerabilities.
- Running, analyzing, and archiving reports of system vulnerabilities/characteristics.
- Activities to maintain situational awareness and to initiate actions to improve or restore cybersecurity posture.
- Implementing and enforcing all Army cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures.
- Ensuring software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriate security configuration guidelines.
- Ensuring proper configuration management procedures are followed before implementation and contingent upon necessary approval.
- Reporting security incidents or vulnerabilities to the system-level ISSM.
- Supporting the development of enterprise-wide information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
At a minimum you should have the following:
- An active SECRET security clearance and be eligible for a TOP SECRET clearance.
- An associate's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Effective communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal with various levels of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a team player.
- Proficiency in Linux Operating System administration (RHEL Preferred).
- ATO process familiarity; Network system/administration experience.
- Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework for Information Systems.
- Effective writing skills.
- Certifications:
- IAT Level I required at a minimum.
- IAT Level II or IAM Level I preferred
You will be highly desirable if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field.
- Windows Operating System administration experience (Server and Workstation).
- ePO Server experience (Trelix/HBSS).
- Splunk Experience; PDQ Experience.
- Nakivo Backup software experience.
- Exchange Server experience.
- Experience with ACAS/STIGs.
- Experience with Active Client and PKI administration.
- eMASS experience.
- Certificate authority management.
- Special Access Program Experience
This role includes 25% Travel possibility.

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
