As the System Integration Program Manager, you will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine and NAVSEA, where you will provide programmatic support to an active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Connecticut (Groton and New London) and Rhode Island (Quonset Point and Newport) areas. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine SHAPM contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
In this role, you will:
+ Be the primary customer contact for all activities, regularly meeting with and updating the customer on project status.
+ Establish and maintain effective relationships with the program manager and the deputy program manager.
+ Lead program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
+ Provide acquisition management planning and execution support
+ Be the single point of contact on all contract management support related issues, including required reports and presentations to the program manager and deputy program manager, responsible for quality control and timeliness.
+ Provide financial and management support to TI Manager to assist in budget development for the contract
+ Deliver the technical performance within cost and schedule parameter through completion of the contract.
+ Manage the technical and administrative staff and providing ongoing direction in the performance of the assigned program.
+ Develop and monitoring program plan including time and cost estimates, ensuring delivery of project outputs on schedule and within funding.
+ Lead technical discussions for project reviews, including preparing and delivering formal briefings.
+ Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
+ A current or active Secret clearance
+ US Citizenship
+ A Bachelor's Degree
+ 10 years of professional experience (Experience in Program/Project Management Highly preferred).
+ Experience with Pre-Commissioning Units and General Dynamics Electric Boat.
+ Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
+ Experience with the Submarine enterprise.
+ The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
Additional desired experience and skills:
+ Master's degree
+ 10 years of experience managing a staff.
+ Active-duty experience in the submarine service is a plus.
+ PMP Certification or pursing PMP
+ Knowledge and experience with Navy acquisition and submarine programs.
+ Knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, the budgeting process and financial tracking (Earned Value Management (EVM) and other metrics), funding execution, and the contracting process.
