ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented LAN Systems Integration and Test Technician to serve on a team of IT support professionals in Northern Virginia .
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Troubleshoot, install, and configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
+ Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; tests and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers
+ Installs, supports and/or maintains LANs and/or WANs; evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades
+ Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations
+ Monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission
+ Identifies, diagnoses and resolves technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software
+ Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
+ Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
_Hours of coverage:_
Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or Microsoft Certified Professional Program, Cisco Network certification, or any other approved information technology certification.
+ Able to work multiple projects with limited supervision, and ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in a busy environment.
+ Ability to manage, prioritize and execute multiple concurrent projects.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to provide solutions and work with customer in providing resolution.
+ Must be a self-starter and work with a clear and defined mission.
+ Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
+ BA/BS and four (4) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6 years.
Security Clearance Requirements:
+ Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
+ Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
+ Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
+ Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.
For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
