This engineer will define and manage the safety requirements including both autonomy software and hardware requirements of an initial in-vehicle stack
This engineer will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of this project in the automotive industry space.At Applied Intuition, you will:Derive and manage safety requirements and concepts according to ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO/DPAS 8800, UL4600 for an in-vehicle SW stackDerive relevant safety work productsWork with validation on additional validation methods required derived from Sotif analysisContribute to the overall safety case of the final productPromote a culture of safety within the organization and provide training and guidance on safety practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and quality assurance, to integrate safety into all stages of the product lifecycleMonitor and report on safety performance, and implement continuous improvement measuresWe're looking for someone who has:5+ years of experience in a System Safety Engineering role MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent requiredExpertise in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering Experience with ADAS, autonomous systems and roboticsKnowledge of existing standards and regulations relevant in the automotive industry, esp
ISO 26262, ISO 21448 and ongoing activities with regards to ML and safetyMastery of strong collaboration with other teams, customers, and companies to ensure high quality deliverablesNice to have:Prior work in either autonomous vehicles or ADAS Project management and leadership experience in the AV industry Research experience in the AV and robotics fieldsExperience with ML systemsCompensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits
Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off
