We are seeking a seasoned System Software Analyst with a strong background in Linux, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Parallel Computing. This role requires a dynamic individual who can understand complex systems and is passionate about problem-solving and innovation. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization of software systems that drive our high-performance computing infrastructure. Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, test, and optimize HPC systems and related software.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve system-level software issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
3. Implement and manage Linux-based operating systems, virtualization environments, and system-level software.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and create efficient solutions.
5. Conduct system performance analysis, tuning, and optimization to improve system efficiency and productivity.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
7. Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and service records.
8. Stay updated with the latest trends in HPC and parallel computing, and implement new technologies as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Active Department of Energy (DoE) Q Clearance or have held one in the past 3 years.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3. At least 5 years of experience in system software analysis, with a focus on Linux and HPC systems.
4. Proficient in parallel computing, distributed systems, and related technologies.
5. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, system-level software, and virtualization technologies.
6. Experience with performance tuning and optimization of high-performance computing systems.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
9. Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
10. Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in HPC and parallel computing.
11. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash is a plus.
12. Any relevant certifications (such as RHCE, LPIC, etc.) will be an added advantage.
