What You'll Do:
- Monitor and Act: Keep an eye on hardware and software outages and jump into action when needed.
- Engage and Assist: Help tenants and users of the OpenStack Cloud Platform via chat services with troubleshooting and requests.
- Cyber Security: Work closely with the cyber security team to implement remediations.
- Upgrade and Deploy: Keep our applications up-to-date and deploy new ones on the platform.
- Integrate Hardware: Bring new hardware into our compute clusters.
- Review and Update: Keep procedures and documentation fresh and accurate.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of Linux admin skills (RHEL/Rocky/Debian/Ubuntu), hardware skills with various vendors (Dell/SM/HPE), and familiarity with storage hardware and PCIe cards
- Switches, routers and installs
- HPC Knowledge: Basic understanding of HPC technologies and batch schedulers.
- Team Player: Comfortable working in both large and small development teams.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access and willingness to obtain CI Polygraph.
- ship: Required.
- Cluster Managers: Experience with Bright Cluster Manager, xCAT, Warewulf, Rocks, or Scyld.
