Are you an experienced Systems Administrator passionate about the ever-evolving landscape of technology? We are a leading financial institution looking for a dedicated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing, maintaining, and improving our IT systems to ensure the smooth operation of our business functions. Responsibilities:
As a Systems Administrator, your key duties will include:
1. Administering the day-to-day operations of our IT systems, including Windows 10, Linux, and O365 platforms.
2. Ensuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
3. Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance issues, and identifying areas for potential improvement.
4. Implementing and maintaining security controls, and managing user access to systems.
5. Collaborating with the IT team to design and implement new technology solutions that align with our business goals.
6. Providing technical support and guidance to users, and liaising with external suppliers and service providers as necessary.
7. Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for IT processes and system configurations.
8. Staying up-to-date with emerging technology trends and developments in systems administration.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Administration role, preferably within the finance industry.
2. Demonstrated expertise in the administration and maintenance of Windows 10, Linux, and O365 platforms.
3. Strong knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
4. Familiarity with networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
7. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is highly desirable.
