- Job Responsibilities
- Involved with the implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security,usage monitoring of network and server solutions to ensure high levels of availability and security of thesupported business applications.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning andmaintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifies, communicates and resolves systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systemsinvestments.
- Provides IT and end user training where required.
- Carries out senior system management responsibilities, works independently, and exercises technical andfunctional supervision over lower level staff.
- Education
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field required. A combination of education, trainingand experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- None required. Recognized technical certification(s) (i.e., Microsoft, Cisco, EMC, Citrix) preferred.
- Work Experience
- 6 years progressive experience in a related field required. Relevant application(s) support required.
- Complexity of Work
- Requires an in-depth understanding of the specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area ofspecialization. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the specialization as well as business needs to recommendappropriate action. Able to research and apply industry benchmarks and practices. Requires critical thinkingskills, decisive judgment and works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressfulenvironment and take appropriate action.
